On Monday March 20, 2023, CPED was deeply saddened to learn of the death of one of our colleagues, Cécile Poisson, a teacher-researcher at Gustave Eiffel University, murdered by her ex-husband.
She was one of the University's equality sentinels, a network set up by its Mission Égalité to step up the prevention of, among other things, gender-based violence. We are dismayed and deeply saddened by this unbearable death, which reminds us of the need to wage a daily battle with our students and colleagues to prevent feminicide.
The entire university community, and in particular that of the equality officers, is deeply saddened and would like to express its most sincere condolences to her family, colleagues and students. CPED has compiled all the messages received in this way in a collection in memory of Cécile Poisson:
