CPED - Standing Conference of Equality and Diversity OfficersInstitutions Higher education and research
CPED offers training courses on preventing and combating sexist and sexual violence (SGBV) and gender-based violence in higher education and research (ESR), as part of a network animation and skills pooling strategy.
The CPED is currently relying on the independent network VSS-FORMATION, made up of trainers who are experts in the field of VSS in higher education and research. With a desire to peer training, Most of them are currently (or have been in the past) employed by an ESR establishment.
Founded in 2018 following the conference on "Sexist and sexual violence in higher education and research: from awareness to action". , the VSS-Formation network is historically the result of the merger of three organizations that worked on designing specific and adapted training for higher education (ANEF, CPED, and Jurisup, between 2018 and 2021). Since 2021, CPED and ANEF continue to lead the VSS-Formation network. Following a joint decision by the Boards of Directors of CPED and ANEF, the VSS-Formation network will cease to exist from June 2026. From July 1, 2026, the two associations will manage their training activities independently, each offering its own catalog. So, if you'd like to organize a training course at your facility taking place after June 2026, From now on, you'll need to contact one of the two associations directly, depending on your needs.
As part of the national plan to combat VSSthe Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space (MESRE) supports CPEDby funding national and regional training courses, free of charge. Only travel expenses are borne by the institutions.
In particular, these training courses aim to professionalize systems for listening to and reporting cases of violence, harassment and discrimination.
- For the National formations, Two days of training are being offered at the MESRE premises: «Appréhender les VSS dans l'ESR : approches sociologiques et cadre juridique» and «Écouter et accompagner les victimes». To date, all training dates are fully booked. New dates will be announced shortly.
- For the Regional formations, several modules are offered. For more information on their content and training dates, contact your Rectorat advisors directly.
