CPED network establishments mobilized around November 25
As every year, the period surrounding November 25 was an opportunity for many higher education and research establishments (ESR) to mobilize their entire community around the fight against sexist and sexual violence. The members of CPED did not miss a beat, offering events as diverse as they were instructive for their respective audiences: conferences, screenings, debates, plays, workshops... Beyond these one-off events, a genuine, in-depth policy is emerging, which permeates the actions of the equality missions throughout the year. We present here a "tour de France" of their mobilization.
UNIVERSITY OF BORDEAUX
Awareness Week
The "Parité, égalité, diversité" mission, the Student Life Office and the University's cultural department organized an awareness-raising week entitled "Violence against women: manifestations, causes, solutions" from November 23 to 30. Alongside the ministerial campaign on sexist and sexual violence in the ESRAn awareness-raising workshop aimed to teach students and university staff how to detect and react to such situations. Lastly, a vernissage-debate on the "crossed views of an activist, a sociologist and a committed researcher" provided an opportunity to initiate a much-needed dialogue based on complementary approaches.
UNIVERSITY OF BURGUNDY

ENSTA BRETAGNE
Exhibition
A new signatory to the letter of commitment against sexist and sexual violence signed alongside other Breton establishments, from November 28 to December 15 the school hosted the exhibition The Legitimate Islands by visual artist Marie-Claire Raoul. This photographic series of 19 shots was produced in 2017 with visitors to the Maison Pour Toutes Lcause in Brest, an associative space defending women's rights and welcoming women victims of violence. The artist describes her exhibition as follows:
" The title of the series "Legitimate Islands", while indicating the singularity and right to existence and respect of every human being, and therefore of every woman, speaks to us of women's difficulty in finding their place in society, their lack of visibility and their vulnerability in the private sphere as much as in the public and professional spheres. He alludes to the illegitimacy of women's words, which are always called into question, and all the more so when it comes to testifying to the violence they suffer. For, despite the adoption of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women by the United Nations General Assembly in 1979, violence against women and girls remains a pervasive problem worldwide. Certain groups of women, including minority women, refugees, migrant women, destitute women, interned women, women prisoners, girls, disabled women, elderly women and women in areas of armed conflict, are particularly vulnerable to this violence. "
In addition, during certain 1st year courses, ENSTA carried out a surprise action involving the showing of a video entitled "Oppressed Domination" and another video presenting the figures for sexist and sexual violence, as well as the legal framework. These screenings were an opportunity to open a debate with the students.

On December 3, ENIB, ENSTA-Bretagne and IMT-Atlantique were welcomed on its premises as new signatories.

It's worth noting that some of these posters were displayed in the toilets, a closed space where it's easy to write down an e-mail or telephone number on a poster, which is more difficult to do in a public space. This arrangement was recommended after discussions with student associations, who emphasized the need for discretion. The entire project was designed in consultation with the permanent and representative student associations.

Everyone is involved and invited to take part, since crocodiles have no distinguishing features, age, origin or class. "
