This webinar provides an introduction to sexual and gender-based violence in higher education and research. It will offer sociological insights (power dynamics, the continuum of violence, key statistics) and present the main legal concepts (definition of sexual and gender-based violence, hierarchy of criminal offenses, the concept of consent). We will also discuss the specific characteristics of disciplinary procedures in higher education and research and how they differ from criminal law. The webinar will include several quizzes to help you test and reinforce your knowledge.
