With a network of 77 member establishments, every year CPED counts more and more universities, grandes écoles and COMUEs determined to make the date of March 8 a time to rally around the values of gender equality and the fight against discrimination and sexist and sexual violence.Conferences, screenings, workshops, theater forums, exhibitions... So many events to open the debate among the university community.

These programs often take place over the course of a week ("Equality Week" at the University of Lille or the Université Côte d'Azur, for example), or even a month (the University of Angers and its now traditional "Gender Month"), and feature political, artistic and cultural encounters on a variety of themes.

This year, several universities or Comue (Montpellier, Strasbourg, Toulouse 3, Aix-Marseille, Côte d'Azur, Lille) will be hosting a screening of the film "The French Way". Shadow FiguresReleased in 2016, it tells the forgotten story of the African-American women mathematicians who helped their country take the lead in the conquest of space in the 1960s. Closer to home, it's also an opportunity to highlight the women who have shaped the history of these teaching and research facilities: at IMT Atlantique, ENSTA Bretagne, Université de Lille, Université Côte d'Azur, Université Lyon 1 and Université de La Réunion. These are all success stories from which female students can draw inspiration, as well as secondary school pupils who will have the chance to meet women scientists, as at the Université de Strasbourg or the Université Côte d'Azur.

Numerous student associations are also taking action on March 8, either in synergy with or in parallel with their institution's equality mission: self-defense workshops, short film screenings, round tables, a wall of expression against street harassment, radio broadcasts, festivals, prevention stands (Le Mans, Lille, Strasbourg...). Student associations, as well as local institutions, are mobilizing alongside the university. In Angers, for example, the Mois du Genre (Gender Month) is supported by the city and extends beyond the walls, spreading its awareness-raising actions beyond the campus!

Below is an extensive (though by no means exhaustive!) overview of the establishments involved...
