While 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of "marriage for all", between 2016 and 2021, the number of anti-LGBT attacks in France has more than doubled. The rights and safety of LGBTI people are continually under threat. It is therefore necessary to raise awareness, d'informand above all mobilize to move forward the rights and recognition of LGBTI people.

CPED would like to list the awareness-raising campaigns against LGBTI phobias carried out by ESR establishments as part of the May 17. This is the international day against LGBTIphobiadedicated to raising awareness and preventing violence in all its forms and places (physical, psychological, sexual, medical, social, institutional).

The actions carried out in the establishments are diverse: conferences, debates, training courses, film screenings, exhibitions, story readings, drag shows, writing workshops, etc. They raise many important issues such as intersectionality, transidentity, gender identity, the effects of the "marriage for all" law or the exile of LGBTI people.

While not all establishments are yet mobilized around the May 17 date, every year actions are increasingly numerous and committedand mobilize local, associative, cultural and institutional partners. This map provides a glimpse a wealth of local programming and their involvement in these issues.
