CPED has sent a letter to all the university presidents and directors of the grandes écoles in our network, alerting them to the consequences of the health crisis on the upcoming recruitment of teacher-researchers.

Containment has revolutionized the organization of higher education and research establishments (read our press release of May 7), but also aggravated inequalities in the domestic sphere. Women have typically taken on more domestic and parental responsibilities while teleworking, but also more administrative and teaching duties. to the detriment of research activities.

At a time when establishments have to prepare the plans for reducing inequalities imposed by the law transforming the civil service (2019), and in the middle of a recruitment campaign, CPED is also concerned about the consequences in terms of gender inequalities at the end of this period of confinement. The objective of reinforcing equality cannot be secondary; it has constitutional value, and several resources can help establishments in this direction.
