The Conférence Permanente des Chargés de Mission Égalité Diversité de l'Enseignement Supérieur et la Recherche (CPED) is withdrawing from the X platform, formerly known as Twitter.

By withdrawing from the European Code of Best Practice against disinformation and relaxing its moderation rules, X has become a space for the propagation of fake news, hateful, illegal and violent content. This editorial evolution also encourages all forms of harassment and violent exchanges.

This ideological polarization runs counter to the values and raison d'être of CPED: to support and make visible policies in favor of gender equality and the fight against discrimination.

Many partners have already left this platform for similar ethical reasons. Together, we choose to contribute to making universities and schools inclusive and respectful, to build a more egalitarian world.CPED remains very active on LinkedIn, where you can follow all our news, as well as on Instagram. We're also opening an account on BlueSky to continue exchanges in a respectful and constructive environment: https://bsky.app/profile/cped-egalite.bsky.social
