A broom cupboard, a classroom, a shared toilet, the principal's office... In higher education and research establishments, there are many places where you can continue breastfeeding when you return to work. rarely comfortable and practical. And the overall experience, a difficult one: "Daily life wasn't easy: I had to schedule times in my diary to express my milk, outside the lunch break. When my manager saw how often I had to express my milk, I think it bothered him. I told myself I shouldn't go out too early in the evening to make up for those hours.
Under the impetus of equality officers or employees who have experienced this situation, many establishments are looking into appropriate, dignified breastfeeding facilities. And some of them have already seized the opportunity to set up genuine parenting support centres. Over the past few months, this question has come up frequently in discussions within CPED, with a strong demand for feedback.

It contains the legal framework on breastfeeding in the workplace testimonials on the experience of breastfeeding in a university environment (on the premises, but also during the symposiums) and in particular the effects of the lack of adequate premises on the career, of the presentations of spaces dedicated to parenting and the P'tit Campus at the University of New Caledonia, as well as feedback on the provision of rest rooms, infirmaries, offices... and the associated difficulties!
