CPED has undertaken to draw up a list of awareness-raising initiatives in favor of equality between women and men carried out in Higher Education establishments, specifically in connection with March 8, International Women's Rights Day.
The cartography created by CPED in 2022 offers a panorama by establishment listing actions as diverse as conferences, seminars, debates, training courses, film screenings, plays and exhibitions, dedicated to equality and sometimes grouped under various themes: intersectionality, ecology, women and science, women and culture, the fight against sexual and gender-based violence, etc.
These actions, proposed at various sites and involving different local, associative, cultural and institutional partners, are intended to provide information only, and do not constitute a standard or an ideal to be achieved.
This information is a snapshot in time, and cannot fully reflect the wealth of local initiatives, nor their commitment to equality, nor even the differences in human and financial resources, which can vary greatly from one establishment to another.
CPED is aware of the fragmented and factual nature of this mapping of actions, and encourages the equality and anti-discrimination officers and VPs to commit themselves according to their means, energy and the real wishes and possibilities offered by their establishments.
CPED would also like to see these data, collected over the long term, analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively to produce an overview of the major trends associated with these cultural awareness-raising events on March 8th.
