CPED supports the distribution of film "The Wave" (LA OLA), at partnership with the Zérodeconduite agencywhich pays tribute to the 2018 Chilean student feminist movement, through the fictional character of Julia. Through the prism of musical comedythe film deals with sexist and sexual violence and its treatment in the university environment.

We think that on November 25, or any other key date, this film would be a perfect choice for a ciné-débat. As the film will be released in cinemas on November 5, it is currently only possible to organize a program in one cinema. The film lasts 2 hours.

We watched this film and found it powerful and relevant to the world of RSE. on several points:

  • We follow the daily lives of students, so identification will be easier for students in French establishments;
  • The musical allows us to tackle a difficult subject in a "lighter" way, while giving momentum and power to the Chilean students' protests. It also attracts a public less aware of SSV issues.
  • Several sociological aspects of SSV are subtly addressed in this film, which can be developed during a discussion.

CPED also contributed to the production of the dossier on the film La Vague, providing its expertise on the practical information sheets. "Organizing/animating a projection-debate" and "Victim or witness, how to react?".
