Since the election of Donald Trump last November in the United States, we have been witnessing, in spite of ourselves, a multiplication of threats to feminist struggles, to diversity and democracy: attacks on women's rights, misogynist rhetoric, questioning of abortion rights, weakening of actions against sexual violence, questioning of anti-discrimination policies, racist and anti-Semitic rhetoric and behavior, anti-immigration rhetoric, regression of LGBTQI+ rights, reduction of protections and essential aid for people with disabilities, attacks on science and the university, delegitimization of scientific research and a policy of systematic disinformation, particularly on climate, public health and the humanities and social sciences, cuts in funding, threats against universities, dismissals, persecution and censorship, opposition to training programs...

The actions that will be carried out in our plants on the occasion of the March 8International Women's Rights Day, but also the March 21International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, will be concrete opportunities to raise awareness, denounce and resist our legitimate concerns about the erosion of rights and freedoms around the world.

We'd like to offer you our sincere congratulations on the inspiring events you've organized. Whether through conferences, workshops, exhibitions, theatrical performances, fun activities or film debates, they contribute to make the contributions of academic research visible to understand and help improve our societies. These events are also a way for higher education and research establishments to assume their responsibility in educating and raising the awareness of our student communities, and more broadly in the actively fighting to defend these essential causes and values

Visit quality, originality and diversity of events that will be taking place throughout the month in our facilities bear witness to the wealth and our network's expertise. We would also like to thank all the associations we work with on a daily basis, as well as the local authorities and public authorities for their support.

All these initiatives will, we are sure, be a great success. a source of collective inspiration. We hope you enjoy these moments of sharing, commitment, resistance and solidarity.

Well done for your dedication and determination.
