{"id":3635,"date":"2026-10-23T10:08:20","date_gmt":"2026-10-23T08:08:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cped-egalite.fr\/?p=3635"},"modified":"2026-10-23T10:15:15","modified_gmt":"2026-10-23T08:15:15","slug":"the-equality-and-diversity-missions-have-the-proof-of-their-institutionalization-regarding-those-who-make-them-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cped-egalite.fr\/en\/les-missions-egalite-diversite-a-lepreuve-de-leur-institutionnalisation-regards-de-celles-et-ceux-qui-les-font-vivre\/","title":{"rendered":"The equality-diversity missions put to the test by their institutionalization: the perspectives of those who make them happen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u00ab We are still required to defend our own existence when we were recruited precisely to carry out implementation.\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The CPED qualitative part of the REM\u00c8DE 2 survey sheds light on the paradox faced by equality-diversity missions in higher education and research: while <strong>Their responsibilities are strengthened<\/strong> and that their <strong>perimeter is expanding<\/strong>, Those who wear them must act with responsibility. <strong>Very limited resources<\/strong>, Again<strong> justify their legitimacy <\/strong>and to compose with <strong>Sometimes strong resistance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cped-egalite.fr\/en\/missions-egalite-diversite-indispensables-piliers-des-etablissements-denseignement-superieur-et-de-recherche-fragilises-par-le-manque-de-moyens-et-les-attaques\/\">The REM\u00c8DE 2 investigation<\/a>, published on December 16, 2025 by the CPED and the ONDES, provides an overview of equality and diversity policies, illustrating a stark disproportion between the scope of the missions entrusted and the available resources. Through 26 interviews conducted with professionals from 24 institutions, this qualitative component gives voice to <strong>those who make these policies live every day<\/strong>. It illustrates the statistical findings with concrete experiences: the versatility of the missions, difficulties in obtaining resources and recognition, challenges encountered, but also the consequences of this commitment on professional and personal life.
