{"id":3436,"date":"2026-05-07T13:30:01","date_gmt":"2026-05-07T11:30:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cped-egalite.fr\/?p=3436"},"modified":"2026-05-07T13:41:54","modified_gmt":"2026-05-07T11:41:54","slug":"closing-of-the-cpeds-parenting-working-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cped-egalite.fr\/en\/cloture-du-groupe-de-travail-parentalites-de-la-cped\/","title":{"rendered":"Conclusion of the CPED &quot;Parenting&quot; Working Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, May 4, the University of Lille hosted the closing session of the CPED \u00abParenting\u00bb working group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a year, this group has gathered a <strong>fortnight of establishments<\/strong> around a common goal: to tangibly equip higher education and research to build <strong>equality policies considering all family structures<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This morning was an opportunity to present <strong>four resources<\/strong> stemming from this collective work\u2014lexicon, documentation, practical guide (to be published), and mapping\u2014intended as directly usable resources for institutions. Many thanks to Lucille Marissal, Angelina Etiemble, Hermeline Pernoud, and Ana\u00ebl Jeannin for coordinating this working group and presenting the deliverables, as well as to all the <strong>supplementary remarks<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The first one, hosted by Christine Morin Messabel, Vice-President for Equality, Discrimination, VSS, and Social Action at Lumi\u00e8re University Lyon 2, was dedicated to<strong> Parental inclusivity<\/strong> :\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Christine Gruson, a sociologist at the University of Lille, shared her work on mothers with intellectual disabilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Romain Quesnel, Head of Student Life at the University of Poitiers and co-director of the Student Life Network (R2VE), presented their initiatives for student parents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The second animated video by L\u00e9a Gimenez, Project Manager for Professional Equality at the University of Lille, was dedicated to <strong>work-life balance<\/strong> :\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Laura Verquere, a lecturer at the University of Lille and winner of the CPED\u2019s 2024 dissertation prize, highlighted the challenges surrounding paternity leave and, more broadly, the balance between personal and professional life in higher education and research<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aliz\u00e9e Letellier, project manager for equality and quality of work life at Grenoble INP \u2013 UGA, presented their parental support program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you to the teams at the University of Lille for their welcome, and to everyone present for the richness of the share its second deliverable with you: <strong>Resources on Parenthood. For a Culture of Equality in Higher Education and Research<\/strong>. Its objective is to provide an initial overview of the literature on parenting in the broadest sense.
